Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs MRI studies under radiologist direction and senior technologist oversight.
  • Operates MRI and related equipment; prepares scan room, equipment, supplies, and medications.
  • Maintains and archives patient images and associated data.
  • Acts as a resource for MRI-related technical issues and demonstrates protocol competency.
  • Engages with imaging staff, nursing, physicians, patients, and visitors.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • Graduate of a JCERT-approved two-year radiologic technology program.
  • Successful completion of a cross-sectional anatomy class.
  • Two- or four-year degree in radiologic technology, healthcare, business, or related field.

Licensure & Certifications:

  • ARRT registered.
  • ARRT-MR certification required within 18 months of hire.
  • BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
  • WI Radiologic Technologist license (required only if performing CT, general radiography, or ionizing radiation procedures).

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Demonstrated competence in IV insertion and contrast injection.
  • Ability to assimilate new procedures into workflow.
