Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs MRI studies under radiologist direction and senior technologist oversight.
- Operates MRI and related equipment; prepares scan room, equipment, supplies, and medications.
- Maintains and archives patient images and associated data.
- Acts as a resource for MRI-related technical issues and demonstrates protocol competency.
- Engages with imaging staff, nursing, physicians, patients, and visitors.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Graduate of a JCERT-approved two-year radiologic technology program.
- Successful completion of a cross-sectional anatomy class.
- Two- or four-year degree in radiologic technology, healthcare, business, or related field.
Licensure & Certifications:
- ARRT registered.
- ARRT-MR certification required within 18 months of hire.
- BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
- WI Radiologic Technologist license (required only if performing CT, general radiography, or ionizing radiation procedures).
Required Skills & Experience:
- Demonstrated competence in IV insertion and contrast injection.
- Ability to assimilate new procedures into workflow.
