Sonographer

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs high quality diagnostic sonographic examinations and assists physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Provides guidance and instruction for students, residents, and other technologists as needed.

Required Education:

• Graduate of a Medical Sonography Program accredited by Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Canadian Medical Association (CMA).

Required Certifications & Licensure:

• ARDMS.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required.

RDMS certified with one of the following:

• Abdomen (AB).
• OB/GYN (OB).
• Vascular (VT).

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Department related sonography experience.

Schedule Hours Per Day: 8.00
Schedule Days Per Week: 5.00
Schedule Hours Per Week: 40.00
