Surgical Technologist

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

• As a member of the healthcare team, collaborates with the surgical team to provide care for patients, ensuring patient goals and the hospital mission are met.
• Performs procedures in a variety of specialties requiring knowledge and skills.
• Demonstrates a higher level of collaboration with peers in making decisions related to surgical patient care.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education:

High School/GED and one of the following – Required:

• Completion of a Surgical Technologist Program.
• Completion of a Military Training Program as an Operating Room Specialist.
• Completion of a Froedtert Health sponsored Apprentice II Program.
  Ten or more years of experience as a Surgical Tech.

Licensure & Certifications:

• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or AHA approved equivalent – Required.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of full-time equivalent experience as a Surgical Technologist – Required.
