Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
- At the direction of a radiologist, operates computed tomography (CT) and related equipment.
- Performs CT studies according to specific guidelines, prescribed protocols, and utilizing appropriate radiation protection measures.
- Reviews images; archives with associated patient data.
- Interacts with imaging personnel, nursing and medical staff, patients, and visitors.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education:
- Post-high school completion of an ARRT-accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Preferred Education:
- 1–2 years of college/university coursework and/or an undergraduate degree in a healthcare-related field.
Licensure & Certifications:
- ARRT registered RT (R) in Diagnostic Radiology.
- Current State of Wisconsin license as a Radiographer.
- Advanced certification in CT required within 18 months of hire/transfer.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent required within 3 months of hire.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of one year (full-time equivalent) clinical experience in Diagnostic Radiology.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Previous CT experience.
Schedule Notes:
- 5 Days Per Week, 40 Hours Per Week, Hoping/Preferably Weekend Program (Thurs–Sun), Flexible and Open to Learning Protocols.
