Surgical Technologist II

Job Description

Job Summary:

• Collaborates with the surgical team to provide patient care, ensuring patient goals are met and hospital mission is upheld.
• Performs procedures in a variety of specialties requiring knowledge and skills.
• Demonstrates higher-level collaboration with peers in decision-making related to surgical patient care.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education:

High School/GED and one of the following:

• Completion of a Surgical Technologist Program.
• Completion of a Military Training Program as an Operating Room Specialist.
• Completion of a Client sponsored Apprentice II Program.
• Ten or more years of experience as a Surgical Tech.

Certifications & Licensure:

• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider or equivalent

Required Skills & Experience:

• Two (2) years of full-time equivalent experience as a Surgical Technologist.
• Experience in Orthopedics, Total Joints, Arthroscopy, Podiatry, Plastics.
• Decision-making skills.
• Patient care.
• Collaboration.
