Sonographer

Job Description

Required Education:

• Graduate or student in a diagnostic medical sonography/cardiac sonography/vascular technology program accredited by an agency recognized by CHEA, USDOE, or CMA.

Preferred Education:

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Ultrasound/Sonography.

Licensure & Certifications:

• American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Provider (or AHA-approved equivalent)
  Registry eligible through ARDMS at time of hire.
• Must obtain ARDMS registries in Abdomen (AB), OB/GYN (OB), and Vascular (VT).
• If not held at time of hire, each registry must be completed every 9 months until all are acquired.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Candidate must be proficient with ultrasound equipment.
• Basic knowledge of patient care equipment.

Ability to perform sonographic examinations in areas including:

• OB/GYN.
• Abdominal.
• Small Parts.
• Breast (site specific).
• Vascular.
• OR and procedural guidance.
• Demonstrated proficiency with EPIC/Radiant and PACS systems.
• Ability to assist in transfer and positioning of patients.
• Must assist with 24/7 coverage rotation including Saturdays, holidays, and call (as scheduled).

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• One year of current clinical experience.
• Substantial training and current clinical experience with ARDMS registry.
• Familiarity with client PACS and Epic EMR.
