Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs mammographic exams following department and medical standards and protocols.
- Identifies and resolves imaging, equipment, and quality control issues.
- Prepares patients and exam rooms, explains procedures, and ensures image quality.
- Operates and maintains equipment per safety standards; escalates technical issues appropriately.
- Collaborates effectively with medical staff and patients, maintains infection control standards, and supports departmental efficiency.
- Uses PACS, Epic, and other systems to manage imaging and documentation.
- Participates in quality control, training, and maintaining a clean, organized work environment.
Education:
- Post-high school completion of an ARRT-approved program in Radiologic Technology (Required).
- 1–2 years of college/university and/or undergraduate degree in radiologic technology or related field (Preferred).
Licensure & Certifications:
- Advanced ARRT certification in Mammography (ARRT-M) required within 12 months of hire.
- AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider (BLS) or AHA-approved equivalent required within 90 days of hire.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year experience performing mammography.
