Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs mammographic exams following department and medical standards and protocols.
  • Identifies and resolves imaging, equipment, and quality control issues.
  • Prepares patients and exam rooms, explains procedures, and ensures image quality.
  • Operates and maintains equipment per safety standards; escalates technical issues appropriately.
  • Collaborates effectively with medical staff and patients, maintains infection control standards, and supports departmental efficiency.
  • Uses PACS, Epic, and other systems to manage imaging and documentation.
  • Participates in quality control, training, and maintaining a clean, organized work environment.

Education:

  • Post-high school completion of an ARRT-approved program in Radiologic Technology (Required).
  • 1–2 years of college/university and/or undergraduate degree in radiologic technology or related field (Preferred).

Licensure & Certifications:

  • Advanced ARRT certification in Mammography (ARRT-M) required within 12 months of hire.
  • AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider (BLS) or AHA-approved equivalent required within 90 days of hire.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience performing mammography.
