Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
- At the direction of a radiologist operates computed tomography (CT) and related equipment.
- Performs CT studies according to specific guidelines, prescribed protocols and utilizing appropriate radiation protection measures.
- Reviews images; archives with associated patient data.
- Interacts with imaging personnel, nursing and medical staff, patients and visitors. –
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education:
- Post high school completion of an ARRT accredited Radiologic Technology program is required.
Preferred Education:
- 1-2 years of college/university coursework and/or an undergraduate degree in a healthcare related field is preferred.
Required Certifications & Licensure:
- ARRT registered RT (R) in diagnostic radiology and current State of WI license as a Radiographer is required.
- Advanced certification in CT required within 18 months of hire/transfer is required.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within three (3) months of hire.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of one year, full time equivalent, clinical experience in Diagnostic Radiology.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Previous CT experience.
Schedule Notes:
- 3:00pm – 11:00pm, Monday – Friday.
- On call: Weeknight (11:00 pm – 7:00 am) and weekends (24 hours Saturday 7 Sunday) On-Call rotation with other technologists, typically one night and one weekend per month.
Schedule Hours Per Day: 8.00
