Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • At the direction of a radiologist operates computed tomography (CT) and related equipment.
  • Performs CT studies according to specific guidelines, prescribed protocols and utilizing appropriate radiation protection measures.
  • Reviews images; archives with associated patient data.
  • Interacts with imaging personnel, nursing and medical staff, patients and visitors. –
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education:

  • Post high school completion of an ARRT accredited Radiologic Technology program is required.

Preferred Education:

  • 1-2 years of college/university coursework and/or an undergraduate degree in a healthcare related field is preferred.

Required Certifications & Licensure:

  • ARRT registered RT (R) in diagnostic radiology and current State of WI license as a Radiographer is required.
  • Advanced certification in CT required within 18 months of hire/transfer is required.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within three (3) months of hire.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of one year, full time equivalent, clinical experience in Diagnostic Radiology.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Previous CT experience.

Schedule Notes:

  • 3:00pm – 11:00pm, Monday – Friday.
  • On call: Weeknight (11:00 pm – 7:00 am) and weekends (24 hours Saturday 7 Sunday) On-Call rotation with other technologists, typically one night and one weekend per month.
