Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Under the direct supervision of the Radiologist and the Department Manager, the technologist delivers nuclear medicine testing to patients of all age groups.
• The technologist utilizes equipment and technique to assist in diagnosis or treatment.
• Performs diagnostic nuclear imaging and other related imaging and related procedures to demonstrate anatomy for interpretation by, or at the request of a licensed practitioner.
• Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complementary to medical ethics.
• Applies appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.
• The Nuclear Medicine technologist will maintain all necessary documentation and records as required by the client as it relates to the Radioactive Materials license of this facility.
• This individual is also responsible for appropriate radiation safety practices.

Job Requirements:

• AHA Healthcare provider BLS.
• Infection Control.
• Professional Certification.
• Proficient computer skills.
• English verbal and written fluency.
• Current State license.
• Current ARRT (NM) or CNMT.
• 1 year experience, CNMT (certified Nuc Med Technologist) and SCQRSA registration for Nuc Med Technologist.
