Job Summary:
- The Radiologic Technologist performs high-quality diagnostic radiology procedures under the supervision of a Radiologist.
- This position supports a busy Level I Trauma Emergency Department and requires the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment while maintaining imaging quality and patient safety standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic radiology procedures according to established exam protocols.
- Ensure proper patient identification and exam verification.
- Demonstrate understanding of radiation dose monitoring and safety standards.
- Prepare and position patients appropriately for imaging procedures.
- Maintain compliance with infection control, radiation safety, and regulatory policies.
- Screen patients prior to imaging to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain equipment functionality and report operational concerns.
- Accurately document imaging procedures within the EMR system.
- Provide care to patients across all age groups.
Required Qualifications:
- ARRT certification.
- Texas Medical Board (TMB) license.
- BLS (AHA only).
- Minimum 3 years of Radiologic Technology experience.
- Experience with Epic EMR.
- Experience with Visage (preferred).
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of radiology imaging protocols and trauma imaging.
- Ability to remain calm and efficient in a fast-paced ED setting.
- Excellent communication and patient care skills.
- Strong attention to detail and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workflow independently.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a high-volume Level I Trauma ED
