Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals as well as other medications to patients and performs the diagnostic study per physician orders.
  • Receives and record radiopharmaceuticals.
  • Performs daily/weekly QC dose testing, Administers radiopharmaceuticals and medications for patient imaging and therapeutic procedures.
  • Processes data and enhances digital images using advanced computer technology.
  • Provides images, data analysis and patient information for diagnostic interpretation or therapeutic procedures.
  • Evaluates images to determine the technical quality and calibration of instrumentation.
  • Processes the images for radiologist/cardiologist review.
  • Able to post process imaging within Xeleris and record information in Nemis.
  • Can effectively utilizes the Electronic Health Record.
  • Can perform NM and Treadmill stress test under director of the Cardiologist.
  • Cleans room after every patient and work area on a routine basis

Facility Requirements:

  • Must have 3 years recent Nuclear Med Tech experience in a hospital setting.
  • Must have ARRT certification in Nuclear Medicine or CNMT Registered, this must be attached to the submission.
  • Must have BLS certification must be attached to submission packet (Must be through the American Heart Association); RQI certifications will not be accepted.
  • Must be familiar with GEHC NM Infinia & NEMIS / Xeleris 5.0 equipment.
  • Must know how to perform Stress Echo and treadmill experience) – Will work side by side with Cardiologist or ACLS RN.
