Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals as well as other medications to patients and performs the diagnostic study per physician orders.
- Receives and record radiopharmaceuticals.
- Performs daily/weekly QC dose testing.
- Administers radiopharmaceuticals and medications for patient imaging and therapeutic procedures.
- Processes data and enhances digital images using advanced computer technology.
- Provides images, data analysis and patient information for diagnostic interpretation or therapeutic procedures.
- Evaluates images to determine the technical quality and calibration of instrumentation.
- Processes the images for radiologist/cardiologist review.
- Able to post process imaging within Xeleris and record information in Nemis.
- Can effectively utilizes the Electronic Health Record.
- Can perform NM and Treadmill stress test under director of the Cardiologist.
- Cleans room after every patient and work area on a routine basis.
Required Experience:
- Must have 3 years recent Nuclear Med Tech experience in a hospital setting.
Required Certifications:
- Must have ARRT certification in Nuclear Medicine or CNMT Registered, this must be attached to the submission.
- Cardiologist or ACLS RN.
- Must have BLS certification must be attached to submission packet (Must be through the American Heart Association); RQI certifications will not be accepted.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Must be familiar with GEHC NM Infinia & NEMIS / Xeleris 5.0 equipment.
- Must know how to perform Stress Echo and treadmill experience).
