Job Description

Job Summary:

• Medical Technologist demonstrates critical thinking skills, judgement and leadership in the practice of laboratory technology.
• The Medical Technologist is responsible and accountable for the efficient planning, directing and accurate provision of all laboratory testing in assigned area of licensure.
• The Medical Technician practices in accordance with laboratory policies, procedures, regulatory standards, recognized testing techniques and administrative policies

Facility Requirements:

• Must have 2 years recent experience as a Medical Technologist.
• Must have their ASCP or AMT certification as a Medical Technologist, this must be attached to the submission packet.
• Must have BLS certification must be attached to the submission (Must be through the American Heart Association).
• Must have experience in blood bank, MTS gel & tube methods.
• Must have experience with Client hematology, (520 and 690), manual differential, body fluid cell count and diff procedures, Werfen Top coagulation instrumentation & urine microscopic procedures.
