Job Description

Job Summary:

  • The Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic radiographic procedures under the supervision of a Radiologist to support the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
  • The role requires producing high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety, maintaining radiation protection standards, and delivering exceptional patient care.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and specialized radiographic procedures according to departmental protocols.
  • Prepare, position, and educate patients prior to imaging procedures.
  • Produce high-quality diagnostic images while minimizing radiation exposure.
  • Adhere to radiation safety, infection prevention, and patient identification protocols.
  • Assist with imaging support during surgical and operating room procedures as needed.
  • Monitor equipment performance and report any operational concerns.
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation and imaging records.
  • Ensure exam rooms and equipment are clean, stocked, and ready for use.
  • Collaborate with Radiologists, physicians, and the healthcare team to provide efficient patient care.
  • Deliver compassionate, professional care while maintaining patient comfort and safety.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of Radiologic Technologist experience.
  • ARRT (R) Certification – Required.
  • Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist (TX MRT) License – Required.
  • BLS (AHA) Certification – Required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience assisting with Operating Room (OR) procedures preferred.
