Ultrasound Technologist

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality ultrasound examinations according to established protocols.
• Prepare and position patients for procedures and explain examinations clearly.
• Obtain and verify patient history, orders, and required documentation.
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment and report technical issues.
• Follow infection-control, safety, and sterile-technique requirements.
• Maintain accurate imaging records through PACS, EMR, and related systems.
• Ensure image quality and timely completion of studies for physician interpretation.
• Provide compassionate patient care and maintain professionalism in high-pressure situations.
• Support training of new team members and departmental initiatives.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of recent ultrasound experience.
• RDMS or ARRT required.
• BLS – AHA only.
• ARDMS-RVT required OR extensive vascular ultrasound experience.
• Recent inpatient/hospital experience required.
• Strong knowledge of ultrasound protocols and image quality standards.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a hospital environment.
