Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality ultrasound examinations according to established protocols.
- Prepare and position patients for procedures and explain examinations clearly.
- Obtain and verify patient history, orders, and required documentation.
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment and report technical issues.
- Follow infection-control, safety, and sterile-technique requirements.
- Maintain accurate imaging records through PACS, EMR, and related systems.
- Ensure image quality and timely completion of studies for physician interpretation.
- Provide compassionate patient care and maintain professionalism in high-pressure situations.
- Support training of new team members and departmental initiatives.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of recent ultrasound experience.
- RDMS or ARRT required.
- BLS – AHA only.
- ARDMS-RVT required OR extensive vascular ultrasound experience.
- Recent inpatient/hospital experience required.
- Strong knowledge of ultrasound protocols and image quality standards.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a hospital environment.
