Cardiac Cath Lab Technician

Job Description

Job Summary:

• The Cath Lab tech works in a multidisciplinary lab, supporting patients undergoing invasive diagnostic cardiac and vascular testing or interventional procedures.
• Performs scrub and monitoring duties utilizing all aspects of catheterization equipment, while applying prescribed procedure for operation of radiology imaging equipment.

Requirements:

• Ability to adapt to multiple and changing priorities – Required.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality – Required.
• BLS & ACLS – Required.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written – Required.
• Effective interpersonal skills – Required.
• RCIS or RAD – Required.
• RAD or RCIS – facility performs structural heart, Diagnostic and therapeutic coronary and peripheral, and EP.
• Candidate must be able scrub/pan procedures for peripheral and diagnostic studies.
• Experience in other specialties will be a plus.
• Two or more years of Cath Lab and/or Electrophysiology experience.
  Degree in related field (BA, BS, BSN, AA) or years of equivalent experience-Required.
