Job Summary:
- Under general supervision, will provide services for the Respiratory Therapy Department in a timely and efficient manner for all appropriate age levels and in all areas that are served by the department.

- Administers therapeutic treatments as prescribed by attending medical staff.
- Records treatment information and patient’s treatment response in their computerized medical record.
- Acts as a resource person to medical staff.
- Performs invasive and non-invasive diagnostic testing and monitoring of patients.
- Provides age appropriate care to patients.
- Ensures that respiratory equipment is cleaned and maintained.
- Maintains necessary respiratory therapy records.
- Performs as part of the quick response team for cardiac and respiratory arrests.
Required Education:Â
Graduation from an approved Respiratory Care Program.
Experience:
- Two (2) years of respiratory care experience in a critical care setting preferred.
Required Certifications & Licensure:
- Licensed by the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
- Registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care.
- Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (American Heart Association) within 3 months of hire.
Special Requirement:
- The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential must be received within 12 months of hire.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of procedures and techniques of Respiratory Therapy and the operation and repair of respiratory equipment.
- Clinical decision making skills appropriate to patient care as it relates to the pulmonary and cardiac system and to the age of the patient.
- Ability to interpret the appropriate information to identify patient’s needs.
- Ability to work under stress.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain a good working relationship with co-workers and staff.
- Some computer skills.
