Job Description
Job Summary:
- The Respiratory Therapist provides cardiopulmonary diagnostic and therapeutic services to inpatient and outpatient populations in accordance with medical staff-approved protocols and department policies.
- The role includes assisting physicians with invasive and non-invasive procedures and managing a variety of respiratory care services.
Job Duties Responsibilities:
- Provide respiratory treatments and cardiopulmonary services to patients.
- Manage ventilators and perform ventilator weaning.
- Maintain airways and manage tracheostomies and ET tubes.
- Administer medicated aerosol treatments, including nebulizer therapy.
- Assist with intubations and other invasive/non-invasive procedures.
- Perform arterial line insertion and blood gas testing.
- Conduct pulmonary function studies and cardiac/pulmonary stress tests.
- Provide CPAP and BiPAP therapy.
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to provide timely respiratory care.
Experience & certification:
- 2+ years of recent Respiratory Therapist experience.
- Recent experience required with.
- Ventilator management and weaning.
- Tracheostomy.
- ET tubes.
- CPAP/BiPAP.
- Nebulizer treatments.
- NBRC RRT or CRT certification required.
- Oklahoma RT license required .
- BLS and ACLS required through the American Heart Association (AHA).
