Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs dimensional ultrasonic recordings of internal organs for the diagnosis of disease and study of the malfunction of organs.
- Performs a variety of imaging procedures and is responsible for patient safety protocols.
- Using sonographic equipment to record images of patients and help diagnose a variety of medical illnesses and conditions.
- Performs diagnostic patient care services using ultrasound technology.
- They are responsible for operating sonographic equipment and communicating the results of diagnostic examinations.
- Functions as the first line interface with customers in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs.
Education:
- Graduate of Sonographer accredited program required.
Experience and Certifications/ License:
- Two (2) years experience as a sonographer.
- Must be a general sonographer that has vascular/echo experience.
- RDMS certification required.
- BLS required.
Equipment and Services:
- Anatomy, physiology production of radiographs utilizing multiple types of equipment.
- Provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served.
