Cardiac Cath Lab Technician

Job Description

Job Summary:

• The Cath Lab tech works in a multidisciplinary lab, supporting patients undergoing invasive diagnostic cardiac and vascular testing or interventional procedures.
• Performs scrub and monitoring duties utilizing all aspects of catherization equipment, while applying prescribed procedure for operation of radiology imaging equipment.

Education and Experience:

• Degree in related field (BA, BS, BSN, AA) or years of equivalent experience-Required.
• Two or more years of Cath Lab and/or Electrophysiology experience required.

Certifications / Licensure:

• BLS & ACLS – Required.
• RCIS / ARRT – Required.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality – Required.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written – Required.
• Effective interpersonal skills – Required.
