Job Description
Job Summary:
- We are seeking a licensed Pharmacist with a minimum of 1 year of experience to join our team.
- This role involves ensuring safe and effective medication dispensing, maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
- The ideal candidate will have experience in pharmacy dispensing systems, sterile processing, IV room operations, and familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately and efficiently dispense medications using pharmacy dispensing systems.
- Review prescriptions for accuracy and completeness.
- Provide consultations on proper medication use and potential side effects.
- Sterile Processing and IV Room Operations:
- Prepare and compound sterile products in compliance with USP standards.
- Maintain aseptic techniques in the IV room.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of medications.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize treatment plans.
- Adhere to all state and federal regulations, including NYSED licensing requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation within EMR systems.
- Counsel patients on medication usage and safety.
- Monitor and address adverse drug reactions or interactions.
Qualifications:
- License: Valid Pharmacist license issued by NYSED with Primary Source Verification.
- Experience: At least 1 year of Pharmacist experience.
Proficiency:
- Pharmacy dispensing systems.
- Sterile processing and IV room protocols.
- EMR systems (preferred).
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
