Job Summary:
- We are seeking a dedicated Temporary Pharmacist to join our team at CHS.
- In this crucial role, you will support our pharmacy operations during a period of increased workload and upcoming regulatory changes.
- The ideal candidate will assist in managing daily responsibilities and ensuring compliance with pharmacy industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Order Processing:
- Efficiently manage and process medication orders to ensure timely and accurate distribution.
2. Regulatory Compliance:
- Assist with DSCSA compliance monitoring regulations effective 11/27/2024.
- Support tracking and reporting for narcotics, 340B medications, and investigational drugs.
3. Inventory Management:
- Oversee the receiving, tracking, and auditing of inventory to ensure accuracy and compliance.
4. Compounding:
- Perform compounding tasks as needed, adhering strictly to safety and regulatory guidelines.
5. Collaboration and Communication:
- Build effective relationships with other healthcare professionals and departments within CHS and other agencies serviced by CHS, and coordinate all activities related to medication distribution and supply chain.
6. Clinical Consultation:
- Provide pharmacy clinical consultation/services to contracted Article 28 clinics.
- Assumes full responsibility of CHS CMS Pharmacy operations in the absence of the Directors and Assistant Directors.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited college of Pharmacy.
- Possession of current New York State Pharmacy license.
- Valid license to practice as a Pharmacist issued by NYSED Primary Source Verification.
Department Preferences:
- Pharmacy warehouse/inventory management experience.
- Experience in pharmacy automation, Pharmacy supply chain and logistics 340B management experience.
- Correctional Health Setting and Article 28 clinic experience.
Schedule Hours Per Week: 40.00
Schedule Hours Per Day: 8.00
Schedule Days Per Week: 5.00
