Job Description
Job Summary:
- Performs MRI procedures ensuring patient safety, quality imaging, and adherence to standards.
- Screens patients for MRI safety and explains procedures clearly.
- Operates MRI equipment, adjusting parameters for optimal diagnostic imaging.
- Positions patients and uses immobilization devices appropriately.
- Maintains cleanliness, organization, and safety of MRI suite and scanners.
- Conducts image quality checks, documents procedures in EMR, and ensures proper image labeling.
- Collaborates with radiologists and team members and supports equipment maintenance and inventory.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience:
- One (1) year of MRI experience – Required
- Experience in Level 1 Trauma Center – Required
- Knowledge of GE and Philips equipment – Required
Education:
- Associate’s degree from a Radiologic Technology program – Required
Licensure & Certifications:
- Valid NYS Radiologic Technologist license – Required
- Certification and registration in Magnetic Resonance Imaging from ARRT or ARMRIT – Required
Preferred Certifications:
- BLS (AHA) – Preferred
