Dental Assistant

Job Description

Duties and Responisbilities:

Assists in providing dental services, including:

• Preparing patients for exams and treatments.
• Sterilizing instruments.
• Maintaining equipment.
• Mixing amalgams, cements, and composites.
• Taking dental X-rays.
• Maintaining records.
• Performing assigned laboratory procedures.

Education and Experience (Required):

• Candidates must have a four-year High School diploma or GED, AND meet one of the following:
• 600 instructional hours at an approved Dental Assistant school.
• 300 instructional hours at an approved Dental Assistant school6 months full-time experience performing:
• Taking, developing, and mounting dental radiographs.
• Assisting dentist chairside.
• Sterilizing dental instruments using an autoclave.
• 1 year full-time satisfactory experience performing the duties listed above.

Schedule Hours Per Week: 37.50
Schedule Hours Per Day: 7.50
Schedule Days Per Week: 5.00
