Clinical Laboratory Technologist

Job Description

Duties:

• Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, and Coagulation, and knowledge of Blood Bank.
• Must be proficient in the performance of manual differentials, cell counts on body fluids, and urine microscopy.
• Must perform Quality control and maintenance procedures as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Department Manager.

Education:

• NYS Licensed Medical Technologist, BS Degree in Science, ASCP preferred
• NYS Licensed Medical Technologist, BS Degree in Science, ASCP preferred

Certifications & Licenses: NYS Licensed Medical Technologist, BS Degree in Science, ASCP preferred

Skills:

• Must possess vast knowledge of blood bank procedures, as well as Chemistry, Hematology
• Proficient in performing manual differentials, and fluid cell count differentials, urine microscopy
