Job Description

Job Summary:

  • The MRI Technologist, under the direction of the Medical Director and Radiologist, provides diagnostic MRI imaging and assists in the evaluation and care of patients in a fast-paced Level I Trauma and Academic Medical Center.
  • Responsibilities include performing MRI scans for inpatients, outpatients, ICU, research patients, and specialized MRI-guided procedures.
  • The role requires a commitment to safe practice, continuous learning, and providing patients with a positive experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform MRI scans on patients across all acuity levels.
  • Assist in clinical evaluation and care of patients in a trauma and academic setting.
  • Support teaching and ongoing education as MRI technology evolves.
  • Maintain accurate records and uphold safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with the care team to deliver high-quality imaging.

Education & Experience:

  • 2+ years as MRI Technologist.
  • Associate’s degree or higher in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.

Certification:

  • ARRT (MRI) and/or equivalent.
  • Must possess BLS certification.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements: 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced Level I trauma center; comfort working with critically ill patients and performing intensive care scans
  • Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to patient safety.
