Job Summary:
- The MRI Technologist, under the direction of the Medical Director and Radiologist, provides diagnostic MRI imaging and assists in the evaluation and care of patients in a fast-paced Level I Trauma and Academic Medical Center.
- Responsibilities include performing MRI scans for inpatients, outpatients, ICU, research patients, and specialized MRI-guided procedures.
- The role requires a commitment to safe practice, continuous learning, and providing patients with a positive experience.
Responsibilities:
- Perform MRI scans on patients across all acuity levels.
- Assist in clinical evaluation and care of patients in a trauma and academic setting.
- Support teaching and ongoing education as MRI technology evolves.
- Maintain accurate records and uphold safety protocols.
- Collaborate with the care team to deliver high-quality imaging.
Education & Experience:
- 2+ years as MRI Technologist.
- Associate’s degree or higher in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
Certification:
- ARRT (MRI) and/or equivalent.
- Must possess BLS certification.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements:Â
- Ability to work in a fast-paced Level I trauma center; comfort working with critically ill patients and performing intensive care scans
- Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to patient safety.
