Job Summary:
- The Respiratory Therapist administers respiratory care by prescription of the physician.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsibilities include the diagnostic evaluation (not limited to Obtaining and analyzing physiological specimens, interpreting physiologic data, performing tests and studies of the cardiopulmonary system), management, education, and rehabilitation and care of the patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system.
- The practice includes the application of technology and the use of treatment protocols across all care sites, including but not limited to the application and monitoring of medical gases and environmental control systems, mechanical ventilatory support, artificial airway care, bronClientulmonary hygiene, pharmacological agents related to respiratory care procedures, cardiopulmonary rehab, hemodynamic cardiovascular support.
Certifications:
- NRP – Required.
- ACLS – Required.
- BLS – Required.
- PALS Required.
Experience Requirements:
- Traveler will need greater than 3 years of level 3 NICU experience with competency in high frequency ventilation, nitric oxide, heliox, neonatal intubation, neonatal ventilator management, bubble CPAP, heated high flow for the neonate, neonatal arterial puncture and delivery attendance.
- NICU transport experience preferred.
Scheduling Requirements:
- Must be available for OT shifts as needed.
- Traveler may need to be scheduled for on call.
- Day shift 36 or 48 hour commitment.
Floating Requirements:
- Traveler will need to float to all areas adult critical care and neonatal critical care.
Additional Job Details:
- Must live 100 miles away.
