Job Summary:
- The Respiratory Therapist administers respiratory care by prescription of the physician.
- Responsibilities include the diagnostic evaluation (not limited to Obtaining and analyzing physiological specimens, interpreting physiologic data, performing tests and studies of the cardiopulmonary system), management, education, and rehabilitation and care of the patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system.
- The practice includes the application of technology and the use of treatment protocols across all care sites, including but not limited to the application and monitoring of medical gases and environmental control systems, mechanical ventilatory support, artificial airway care, Bronchopulmonary hygiene, pharmacological agents related to respiratory care procedures, cardiopulmonary rehab, hemodynamic cardiovascular support.
Requirements:
- Traveler may need to be scheduled for on call.
- Traveler will need to float to all areas adult critical care and neonatal critical care.
- Traveler will need greater than 3 years of level 3 NICU experience with competency in high frequency ventilation, nitric oxide, heliox, neonatal intubation, neonatal ventilator management, bubble CPAP, heated high flow for the neonate, neonatal arterial puncture and delivery attendance.
- NICU transport experience preferred.
- ACLS/BLS/PALS/NRP Required.
- ABG License required.
- RRT credentials required.
