Job Description

Job Summary:

• The Pharmacist will provide pharmaceutical care to hospitalized patients, ensuring the safe preparation, dispensing, and monitoring of medications.
• This role supports overnight operations and requires strong clinical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and verify medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness.
• Prepare and dispense medications in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Monitor patient medication therapies and provide drug information to healthcare staff.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies.
• Maintain accurate documentation of medication distribution and usage.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
• Oversee pharmacy technicians and provide guidance as needed during night shifts.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Active Pharmacist license (state-specific, as required).
• Previous hospital or inpatient pharmacy experience preferred.
