Job Description

Job Summary:

  • Performs radiographic procedures in a medical office as requested by physicians.
  • Provides care for patients while obtaining diagnostic quality images for interpretation by a Radiologist.

Education and Licenses:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and graduation from accredited Radiologic Technology Program required.
  • ARRT and New Mexico State licenses required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) issued through American Heart Association required.

Experience:

  • Minimum one year experience required which can be substituted with clinical education experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Thorough knowledge of radiographic imaging equipment, anatomy and physiology, radiographic positioning, medical terminology and basic computer skills.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

  • Bloodborne pathogen C.
  • Exposure to various body fluids and ionizing radiation.
  • Prolonged, extensive or considerate standing and walking.
  • Lifts, positions, pushes and or transfers patients and equipment in excess of 50 lbs. with assistance.
