Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs radiographic procedures as requested by physicians.
- Provides care for patients while obtaining diagnostic quality images for interpretation by a Radiologist.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent and graduation from accredited Radiologic Technology Program required.
- Minimum one year experience required which can be substituted with clinical education experience.
Certifications/ License:
- ARRT and New Mexico State licenses required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued through American Heart Association required.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Thorough knowledge of radiographic imaging equipment, anatomy and physiology, radiographic positioning
- Thorough knowledge of medical terminology and basic computer skills.
Work Environment / Physical Requirements:
- Exposure to various body fluids and ionizing radiation.
- Prolonged, extensive or considerate standing and walking. Lifts, positions, pushes and or transfers patients and equipment in excess of 50 lbs.
