Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic CT exams following established protocols using Client Sensation CT equipment.
  • Verify patient identity and ensure appropriateness of ordered exam.
  • Conduct patient interviews to update medical history and assess risk factors (e.g., medications, pregnancy, psychological indicators).
  • Explain procedures, risks, benefits, side effects, and alternatives to patients.
  • Set up imaging equipment and acquire high-quality images per clinical protocol.
  • Review images, make initial observations, and document any deviations from standard protocols.
  • Communicate findings to the radiologist.
  • Respond appropriately to medical emergencies.
  • Provide post-procedure care instructions as prescribed by the physician.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives (e.g., patient flow, image quality, satisfaction).
  • May assist in educating residents, students, and new technologists.
  • May be required to take call/standby.
  • May perform duties of a general Radiologic Technologist if needed.

Required Experience & Skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a CT Technologist.
  • Familiarity with:
  • Client Sensation CT scanner.
  • Digital X-ray systems.

Licensure & Certification Requirements:

ARRT Certification in:

  • Radiography (R).
  • Computed Tomography (CT).
  • BLS Certification (Must be from the American Heart Association).
