Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic CT exams following established protocols using Client Sensation CT equipment.
- Verify patient identity and ensure appropriateness of ordered exam.
- Conduct patient interviews to update medical history and assess risk factors (e.g., medications, pregnancy, psychological indicators).
- Explain procedures, risks, benefits, side effects, and alternatives to patients.
- Set up imaging equipment and acquire high-quality images per clinical protocol.
- Review images, make initial observations, and document any deviations from standard protocols.
- Communicate findings to the radiologist.
- Respond appropriately to medical emergencies.
- Provide post-procedure care instructions as prescribed by the physician.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives (e.g., patient flow, image quality, satisfaction).
- May assist in educating residents, students, and new technologists.
- May be required to take call/standby.
- May perform duties of a general Radiologic Technologist if needed.
Required Experience & Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a CT Technologist.
- Familiarity with:
- Client Sensation CT scanner.
- Digital X-ray systems.
Licensure & Certification Requirements:
ARRT Certification in:
- Radiography (R).
- Computed Tomography (CT).
- BLS Certification (Must be from the American Heart Association).
