Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintains acceptable visit productivity standards.
- Completes documentation within Established time frames and transfers back within 24 Hours.
- Documents skilled interventions to justify each patient visit per regulatory guidelines.
- Interfaces with other professionals, students, and families.
- Utilizes aides appropriately in delivering care.
- Acts as a preceptor to new staff.
- Shows evidence of interdisciplinary communication.
- Maintains a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Demonstrates knowledge of safety standards.
- Practices appropriate infection control measures.
- Educates patients and families.
- Uses age appropriate and culturally sensitive teaching tools and methods.
- Evaluates effectiveness of teaching and revises plan as needed.
- Provides orientation to new employees.
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
Certifications & Licenses:
- Valid NJ OT License.
Experience:
- Inpatient Care.
- Candidates with high-acuity experience are highly preferred, particularly in ICU, Step-Down, or Cardiac units.
Schedule Hours Per Week: 40.00
Schedule Hours Per Day: 8.00
Schedule Days Per Week: 5.00
