Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintains acceptable visit productivity standards.
  • Completes documentation within Established time frames and transfers back within 24 Hours.
  • Documents skilled interventions to justify each patient visit per regulatory guidelines.
  • Interfaces with other professionals, students, and families.
  • Utilizes aides appropriately in delivering care.
  • Acts as a preceptor to new staff.
  • Shows evidence of interdisciplinary communication.
  • Maintains a safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of safety standards.
  • Practices appropriate infection control measures.
  • Educates patients and families.
  • Uses age appropriate and culturally sensitive teaching tools and methods.
  • Evaluates effectiveness of teaching and revises plan as needed.
  • Provides orientation to new employees.

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.

Certifications & Licenses:

  • Valid NJ OT License.

Experience:

  • Inpatient Care.
  • Candidates with high-acuity experience are highly preferred, particularly in ICU, Step-Down, or Cardiac units.

Schedule Hours Per Week: 40.00
Schedule Hours Per Day: 8.00
Schedule Days Per Week: 5.00
