Job Description

Job Summary:

  • Produces diagnostic radiographic exams, positions patients, selects technical factors, and operates equipment as required.
  • Performs portable x-rays in patient rooms, OR, and ER.
  • Develops x-ray films, marks them properly, and maintains film records.
  • Assists physicians with contrast media and supports patient mobility needs.
  • Handles scheduling, recordkeeping, and reception duties as needed.
  • Adheres to patient-specific communication and care based on developmental and cultural needs.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program.
  • Completion of clinical and A.R.R.T. requirements.

Licensure & Certifications:

  • New Jersey State Radiologic Technology License – Required.
  • Must meet eligibility and pass National Registry exam – Required.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an acute care facility – Required.
  • Must be able to work independently in ER, trauma, OR.
  • Must have experience with portable x-rays and pediatrics – Required.
