Job Description
Job Summary:
- Produces diagnostic radiographic exams, positions patients, selects technical factors, and operates equipment as required.
- Performs portable x-rays in patient rooms, OR, and ER.
- Develops x-ray films, marks them properly, and maintains film records.
- Assists physicians with contrast media and supports patient mobility needs.
- Handles scheduling, recordkeeping, and reception duties as needed.
- Adheres to patient-specific communication and care based on developmental and cultural needs.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program.
- Completion of clinical and A.R.R.T. requirements.
Licensure & Certifications:
- New Jersey State Radiologic Technology License – Required.
- Must meet eligibility and pass National Registry exam – Required.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an acute care facility – Required.
- Must be able to work independently in ER, trauma, OR.
- Must have experience with portable x-rays and pediatrics – Required.
