Vascular Technologist

Job Description

Job Summary:

• Performs vascular ultrasound evaluations with Doppler and physiologic testing.
• Writes preliminary reports and communicates acute findings to care team.
• Obtains pertinent patient health history prior to examination.
• Prepares procedure room and equipment for daily use and is responsible for timely and efficient room preparation between procedures.
• Troubleshoots and identifies any equipment problems and reports to appropriate supervisor.
• May perform staff training and education.

Required Skills & Experience:

• CPR
• 4 years of experience.

Required Education:

• Accredited Associate’s Degree in Sonography, Radiology or a related field.
  OR
• Completion of a twelve (12) month ultrasound program.

Required Certifications & Licensure (One of the following is required):

• RDCS certified through ARDMS.
• RVT certified through ARDMS.
• RCS, and RCCS certified through CCI.
