Job Summary:
- The CT Technologist operates computerized tomography (CT) to obtain images used by physicians in the diagnosis and treatments of pathologies.
- This role elects appropriate imaging techniques, operates console, and peripheral hardware.
- The person in this position is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures of patient care.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs CT exams per physician orders or as advised by radiologist.
- Works alongside other health team providers including physicians, residents, fellow, nurses, radiologists, and other ancillary staff to provide effective, efficient quality service/care and follow standard protocols to complement interpretation and diagnosis.
- Reports statistically significant findings to radiologists/residents/referring physicians as necessary to patient care.
- Demonstrates ability to provide applicable care/service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level of population served.
- Modifies and individualizes care/service plan to meet patient/customer needs.
- Provides patient/employee education based on assessment of learning needs of learner.
Required Education:
- Associates degree or graduate of an accredited radiologic health science program and ARRT registered, RT(R)(CT).
Required Certifications & Licensure:
- Current AHA or client BLS certification.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 3 years fulltime hospital-based CT experience.
- Ability to establish IV access proficiently and safely across a dynamic range of patients.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Client platform experience.
- Proficiency with Epic and PACS applications.
