Job Description

Job Summary:

  • Assists physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) with the examination and treatment of patients.
  • Performs both clinical and administrative duties to support patient care while ensuring a safe, organized, and efficient clinical environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist providers with patient examinations and treatments.
  • Record patient history, vital signs, and update medical records.
  • Prepare exam rooms and patients for procedures.
  • Perform basic clinical tasks as directed by the provider or RN.
  • Schedule appointments, answer phones, maintain records, and complete clerical duties.
  • Order, stock, and manage medical supplies.
  • Document provider encounters, diagnoses, treatment plans, prescriptions, and follow-up instructions.
  • Process laboratory, radiology, and medication orders.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Follow infection control and standard precaution guidelines.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience.
  • Current Medical Assistant (MA) Certification.
  • BLS Certification (American Heart Association).

Required Skills:

  • Strong clinical and patient care skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Critical thinking and sound clinical judgment.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) and medical documentation.
