Job Description
Job Summary:
- Assists physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) with the examination and treatment of patients.
- Performs both clinical and administrative duties to support patient care while ensuring a safe, organized, and efficient clinical environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist providers with patient examinations and treatments.
- Record patient history, vital signs, and update medical records.
- Prepare exam rooms and patients for procedures.
- Perform basic clinical tasks as directed by the provider or RN.
- Schedule appointments, answer phones, maintain records, and complete clerical duties.
- Order, stock, and manage medical supplies.
- Document provider encounters, diagnoses, treatment plans, prescriptions, and follow-up instructions.
- Process laboratory, radiology, and medication orders.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow infection control and standard precaution guidelines.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience.
- Current Medical Assistant (MA) Certification.
- BLS Certification (American Heart Association).
