Job Summary:
- Perform a variety of technical and supportive patient care tasks to assist physicians in performing complex and invasive cardiac catheterization procedures to include, but not limited to: Vascular and Interventional Radiology studies, Coronary stenting, percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty, atherectomies, peripheral angioplasty, carotid angiogram, Product angiogram, renal angiogram, triple lumen catheter placement.
- Perform lab administrative duties and supply inventory.
Required Education:
- High School Graduate or G.E.D.
Preferred Education:
- An Associate’s Degree or equivalent college hours (62 semester hours) in health, science, natural science, nursing, engineering, or any primary science or higher AND one (1) year (full-time or full-time equivalent) in Invasive Cardiovascular Technology.
- Baccalaureate degree in health, science, natural science, nursing, engineering, or any primary science AND six (6) months (full-time or full-time equivalent) in Invasive Cardiovascular Technology.
- Graduate of an accredited (by CHEA, USDOE, or CMA) program in Invasive Cardiovascular Technology.
- Graduate of a NON-programmatically accredited program in Invasive Cardiovascular Technology which has a minimum of one (1) year of specialty training and includes a minimum of 800 clinical hours.
Certifications, Skills & Experience:
- Must have at least 1-2 years of recent Cath lab experience.
- Two (2) years full-time Invasive Cardiovascular Technology experience.
- 1-2 years of recent EP lab experience.
- 2+ years experience in electrophysiology.
- RCIS, RCES, or ARRT certification required.
- Experience with complex ablations required.
- Associates in a healthcare related field is a plus but not required.
