Job Description
Duties:
- Conducts diagnostic and psychosocial assessments and treatment planning to determine the appropriate level of care and services for patients and their families.
- Provides evidence-based care in the diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders and substance use disorders in children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients (as qualified) in an outpatient setting.
- Performs evidence-based psychotherapy including individual, conjoint, family, group and didactic as qualified.
- Provides urgent consultation/evaluations and crisis services as necessary to stabilize patient functioning and maintain continuity of care.
- Completes all clinical documentation in a timely manner and in accordance with state and Federal regulatory agencies and Client Behavioral Health standards and expectations.
- Ensures access for patient appointments is timely and in accordance with clinic expectations and standards.
Quality Management:
- Compliance with all accreditors and regulators (JCAHO, Medicare, HIPPA)
- Participates in Departmental Quality Improvement initiatives, including but not limited to patient satisfaction and outcome studies.
Education:
- Master’s (or Doctoral) degree in clinical or counselling psychology with one-year supervised post masters experience.
or - Master’s degree in social work with two years post Master’s experience in mental health/chemical dependency setting.
Certifications/Licensures required: Licensed Psychologist; OR Limited Licensed Psychologist; OR Licensed master’s in social work
Schedule Notes:
- Prefer CAADC (Certified Advance Additions Counselor) licensed.
- If don’t have, willing to have a developed plan to get licensed.
- Substance abuse experience. Group therapy experience.
