Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides sterile instruments and supplies during surgical procedures.
- Performs surgical counts, prepares case tables, assists in positioning, engages with surgeons regarding instruments, actively participates in safety initiatives, and performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education:
- Associate degree.
- HS diploma AND four (4) years of experience in related field.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Two-plus (2+) years of applicable experience required.
- Able to work in: endoscopy, endoscopy reprocessing, robotics, OBGYN, ENT, orthopedics, urology, general surgery, podiatry, ophthalmology.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Sterile processing knowledge helpful, as well as the ability to pull cases.
Required Certifications & Licensure:
- BLS.
Preferred Certifications & Licensure:
- Certified through the NBSTSA as a Certified Surgical Technician (CST) – preferred.
- Certified through the NCCT as a Tech in Surgery – Certified (TS-C) – preferred.
Schedule Notes:
- 9:00am – 9:30pm – 24 hr guarantee Shift length: 12 hour Weekend rotation: one weekend per four week schedule On call: three (3) call shifts – one (1) weekday from 7:00pm – 7:00am, one (1) weekend Saturday and Sunday 7:00am – 7:00pm.
