Speech Language Pathologist

Job Description

Job Summary:

• Under general supervision of the therapy manager, implements treatment programs to provide in-home speech-language pathology services to assist clients with communication deficits.

Required Education:

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Master’s degree in Speech Pathology.

Required Certification & Licensure:

• Certificate of clinical competence in speech-language pathology.
• Must possess a current State of Michigan driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.
• BLS

Required Skills & Experience:

• One (1) year of speech pathology experience in a health setting is required.
• Must have reliable transportation and a telephone.
• Must have sufficient physical energy and tolerance to meet the demands of the job.
• Knowledge of normal communications process, development and disorder to evaluate client and implement approved treatment techniques.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Prefers candidate with inpatient rehab experience.
• Good at documentation.
• Self starter, good communication.
• Cerner and Epic experience are a PLUS.
