Job Description
Job Summary:
- The Central Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for providing sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment to all members of the healthcare team.
- This role ensures proper decontamination, sterilization, assembly, storage, and distribution of medical instruments in accordance with established standards and procedures.
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of an approved Aide Training Program, Central Technician Program, or at least 6 months of previous Central Supply experience.
Certification:
- NICHSPDP Certification required.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of Central Sterile Processing experience required.
- Candidate must be reliable and punctual.
Skills:
- Ability to read and write effectively.
- Basic math skills, including addition and subtraction.
- Ability to read temperature gauges and monitor sterilization equipment.
