Respiratory Therapist

Float Requirements:

• All shifts may not be in Sanford, traveler may be asked to work in Biddeford campus as well.

Education & Certifications Required:

• RRT, BLS, ACLS, NRP & PALS.
• These are assigned by our staff development during onboarding and throughout the contract depending on what learning modules are due in our Learning Management System.

Unit Information:

• Number of Beds: ER only.
• EMR: EPIC.

Hiring Profile:

Must Have Skills/Experience:

• More than 2 years of experience.
• Working in a nursery being part of the resuscitation team.
• Experience with attending high risk deliveries.
• Working in an adult ICU.
• Experience with treating pediatric patients in the ER.
• Sharp assessment skills.
• Experience with the equipment mentioned above.
• Feels confident working as the only RT in the ED and on campus.

Preferred Skillset/Experience:

• NICU, PICU experience so the candidate is comfortable and competent treating newborns and critically ill pediatric patients in the ER.

Type of Patients on Unit:

• Newborn to adult.
