Summary
- Performs quality diagnostic echocardiology procedures independently with minimal supervision.
- Responds appropriately to cardiologist input.
- Takes responsibility for assigned tasks.
- Promotes team-building initiatives within the service line and departments served.

Responsibilities
- Performs routine echocardiograms to evaluate possible heart defects or diseases.
- Assists physicians with transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE).
- Conducts stress echocardiograms to assess coronary artery disease.
- Notifies physicians daily for exam interpretation.
- Monitors and checks weekly for required supplies.
- Demonstrates competency in patient care according to age-specific and developmental needs.
- Adapts assessment, treatment, and service methods based on patient needs.
Education / Skills
- High School Diploma (required).
- Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program (preferred).
Experience
- Minimum 2 years in the cardiology field (preferred).
- Experience with stress testing (preferred).
Licenses / Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (required).
- DCS, RCS, or RDMS certification through ARDMS or CCI.
