Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform quality diagnostic echocardiography procedures independently.
- Perform routine echocardiograms to evaluate heart defects or disease.
- Assist physicians with transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE).
- Perform stress echocardiograms to evaluate for coronary artery disease.
- Notify physicians daily for exam interpretation.
- Check weekly and maintain necessary supplies.
- Deliver patient care appropriate to age-specific and developmental needs.
- Adapt assessment and service methods to meet patient needs.
- Promote teamwork and demonstrate behavior aligned with organizational mission and values.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education:
- High School Diploma required.
- Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program preferred.
Licenses/Certifications:
- BLS certification (AHA required).
- CS, RCS, or RDMS through ARDMS or CCI.
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the cardiology field preferred.
- Experience with stress testing preferred.
- Experience with adult echocardiography.
- Familiarity with occasional pediatric tele-med echo studies.
- Comfortable performing 6–8 echocardiograms per day.
- Willingness to take rotating weekends and on-call assignments.
