Job Summary:
- Assesses and tracks patients to ensure they receive the appropriate level of care at the appropriate point on the continuum.
- Determine where integration efforts will be most effective, including identifying areas for improving processes and systems.
- Communication collaboratively to all customer groups to ensure that processes and systems used in the imaging department are December 13, 2023 Version: 5 Page 2 of 6 thoroughly understood.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manages employees through a team approach – fostering a collaborative effort across modalities.
- Establishes performance goals, allocated resources, and assesses policies of ongoing exceptional services.
- Trains new staff in proper care of patients to maintain conscientious, caring atmosphere for customers.
- Develops and maintains a close working relationship with physicians, and provides them with appropriate follow-up regarding any changes, problems, or incidents that involve them or their patients.
- Ensures high satisfaction with internal and external customers, physicians, and employees.
- Prepares and submits capital budget requests that meet the objects of the strategic and tactical business plans.
- Additionally, implements cost efficient strategies within each service unit.
- Utilizes a thorough understanding of financial concepts and guidelines in managing the entire Clinical Service as an enterprise.
- Proactively completes productivity and monthly budget variance action plans with in established timeframes.
- Ensures operating budget of the department, including determining optimal staffing levels and space; controls and evaluates departmental performance products budget.
- Maintains ongoing analysis of Clinical Service Performance and monitors trends and opportunities. Initiates and recommends service improvements to meet changing market needs.
- Understand project management procedure and completes projects according to agreed upon process and tools.

- Creates a vision for the service lines within the Imaging Department.
- Establishes performance goals, allocates resources, and provides leadership support to achieve quality care, service and financial goals alignment with the hospitals vision and mission.
- Mentors and coaches leaders and team members in better understanding their roles in providing care, improving systems they own to include operational detailed development plans that address personal improvement of competencies need to be successful as a care giver and team member.
- Provides internal and external guidance for the unit leaders as they determine ways to improve their processes and systems by accessing networks of resources.
- Maintains professional growth and staff development through continuing education and where applicable, professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise.
- Consults with medical, nursing and administrative staff on a regular basis to coordinate the highest quality of patient care.
- Participates in hospital/medical staff committee meetings as required.
- Attends and serves on professional/civic service organizations as hospital representative.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Approved School of Radiologic Technologist) – Required.
- American Registry or Radiologic Technologists- Required.
- 3 years experience in a leadership position
- Demonstrated leadership ability, with strong business and strategic planning skills.
Float Requirements:
- Floating may be required to any Client location within sixty (60) miles of the original assignment location or Client-identified “float zone”.
- Float assignments may include duties outside of original assignment job requirements (including skill set) in accordance with Client policy.
