Job Summary:
- The CT/Radiology Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety, image quality, and compliance with established protocols.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Review patient history and physician orders.
- Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams.
- Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within Product of practice when ordered.
- Monitor patient condition and respond appropriately to changes in status.
- Prepare equipment and supplies for imaging procedures.
- Position patients and perform X-ray and CT examinations.
- Evaluate images for quality and repeat or reposition patients as needed.
- Follow safety and quality control standards.
- Troubleshoot and report equipment malfunctions.
- Enter, transmit, and report imaging results.
Required Education & Certifications:
- 2 years of recent Radiology & CT experience required.
- Must be willing to float between X-ray and CT departments.
- Experience with a 16-slice CT scanner.
- ARRT certification in Radiography (R) & CT .
- Active Florida CT/Radiologic Technologist license .
- BLS through the American Heart Association (AHA) .
