Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate Computed Tomography (CT) and radiographic equipment and processors, analyzer body habitus to correctly adjust technical factors, position the body correctly, review physicians orders, obtain pertinent clinical data to consistently produce high-quality radiographs and reduce unnecessary radiation to patients and self.
- Assists physicians during procedures, including room preparation, supplies, contrast reactions and codes.
- Ability to schedule and complete exams and enter correct charge codes.
Requirements:
- All Techs need to be multimodality and have competencies to perform CT and X-Ray including, Stroke protocols and perfusion scans (or be willing to be trained).
- Must be knowledgeable with Philips, Toshiba, and Canon CT scanners.
- Minimum of 1-year experience as registered radiology technologist, CT tech experience required.
- Active state license with Fluoro required.
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent required; completion of an approved Radiologic Technology program.
- AART required, Current State/District license required.
Schedule Notes:
- 9P to 7A Freestanding ED Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday.
- With choice of 2 call shifts a week for CT or X-Ray at the main facility.
Call shifts are as follows:
- CT on-Call – Weekends only 7:00am – 7:00pm.
- XR on-call is 5 days a week Monday – Friday, 7:00pm – 7:00am , 24 hours on Saturday and Sunday.
