Job Summary:
- Performs general radiographic studies to established QA criteria.
- Produces radiographs and organizes images, completes required paperwork and charges.
- Responsible for patient safety and well-being during examinations.
- Assists and instructs patients during examinations.
- Assists with clerical and other duties as assigned.
- Reports all equipment malfunctions.
- Cleans and inspects equipment prior to use.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs radiographic examinations in accordance to established protocols.
- Assists and instructs patients prior and during examinations.
- Responsible for evaluating each study to ensure it meets required quality standards.
- Responsible for patient safety and well-being during examinations.
- Responsible for inspecting and cleaning equipment prior to use.
- Reports to supervisor equipment failures and/or malfunctions.
- Reports all patient complaints, discrepancies and drug reactions according to QA policies.
- Responsible for producing images, burning CD and occasional film printing, organizing paperwork and completing requisition data.
- Seeks out during down time, work in other areas of department throughout the day, such as: front desk duties, rooming patients, or assisting with other duties as needed, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Graduate of an AMA approved radiology course.
Licensure:
- California Certified Radiologic technologist (CRT) required, ARRT required. Current AHA or equivalent healthcare provider BLS Certification required.
Experience:
- New graduate eligible but prefer one year of experience in general radiology.
Skills:
- Basic clerical and computer experience.
