Job Description

Job Summary:

  • The Pharmacist is responsible for dispensing prescriptions and coordinating clinical services for specialty medications at the branch location.
  • This role involves collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and effective provision of patient care.
  • Responsibilities include translating prescriptions, preparing compounds, dispensing pharmaceuticals, and resolving orders through the EA (External Adjudication) queue.
  • The position also requires frequent communication with patients and physicians via phone and mail to support ongoing therapy and care coordination.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD).
  • Must hold an active pharmacist license in good standing.

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy experience in a retail or hospital setting preferred.
  • Prior experience with specialty medications or external adjudication processes is a plus.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills required.
  • Proficiency with basic computer systems and pharmacy software.
  • Active, unrestricted state pharmacist license required.
