Job Summary:
- The Pharmacist is responsible for dispensing prescriptions and coordinating clinical services for specialty medications at the branch location.
- This role involves collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and effective provision of patient care.
- Responsibilities include translating prescriptions, preparing compounds, dispensing pharmaceuticals, and resolving orders through the EA (External Adjudication) queue.
- The position also requires frequent communication with patients and physicians via phone and mail to support ongoing therapy and care coordination.
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD).
- Must hold an active pharmacist license in good standing.
Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy experience in a retail or hospital setting preferred.
- Prior experience with specialty medications or external adjudication processes is a plus.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills required.
- Proficiency with basic computer systems and pharmacy software.
- Active, unrestricted state pharmacist license required.
